Ward 33 Old Recycling Box Collection Day - Friday June 20th 2008

Hello Ward 33,

You can put your old recycling boxes out at the curb on the next designated garbage day (June 20th 2008) if you would like them to be picked up by the city for recycling. In case you are wondering why you are being asked to put the boxes out on a garbage day and not a recycling day, this is because the city needs to ensure the boxes are empty when they are collected, and not filled with recyclable material.

Please note that you do not have to put your boxes out for collection if you want to keep them for another use i.e. storage. If you happen to forget to put them out don't worry, you can always bring them to one of the transfer stations in the city.

Please feel free to call or email our office if you have any questions.

Neighbours Night Out

It's just about that time of year again when neighbours, families, friends and community groups are encouraged to get together and meet and greet and share some great food. All in an effort to create and maintain a cohesive community so that crime can be reduced.

More than a quarter of a million residents have paticipated throughout the GTA since the program started in 1985. 33 Divison's participation in the event has always been outstanding and should prove the same this year.

You and your neighbours are encouraged to hold small parties with people in your area, on your street or in your building. Community partners such as members of the Toronto Police CRU will attend some of the locations. So c ome out and join your community partners for an evening of fun.

The official date for the event is Tuesday June 17th

Please register with the Crime Prevention Association of Toronto. Email office@cpatoronto.org or attend 33 division and fill out a registration form at the front desk. For more information on the event or ideas on how to make your event special, visit CPAT'S website at www.cpatoronto.org
