Updates: Leslie & Sheppard Construction
This is to inform you of the current status of the City contract from the Senior Project Engineer of the Leslie/Sheppard Construction:
- starting tonight night work will start to pave the intersection of Leslie/Sheppard. Grinding tonight followed by paving and pavement marking pre-marking tomorrow night and pavement marking Saturday night is scheduled. Zebra marking will be placed at the intersection crosswalks as per Transportation standard. These additional markings may require an additional night of work due to the amount of marking associated.
- the west of Leslie St. is almost complete except for landscaping and the railings at the stairs. This work should be complete in about 3 weeks time except for finishing work.
- the road work on the east side however is being delayed due to the presence of the sewer contractor working for the Developer, Concord Adex, If this contractor is not complete or vacated from the east side of Leslie St. by 7AM on Monday July 16/07 a further delay will result. Hopefully the developer and their contractor will co-operate with us so the City contract is not delayed. Marshall Macklin Monaghan (MMM) is attempting to resolve the conflict. A completion of mid-August is targetted provided the sewer contractor does not hold up the City's contractor.
